How to Become a Better English Speaker

Read English constantly, whether it is books like Harry Potter or non-fiction, scholarly works.
Watch English television, such as news programs.
Do not have subtitles when watching TV series or movies.
Read aloud in order to build both your written and spoken vocabulary.
Communicate as much as possible in English.
Be relaxed and confident when speaking English.

Try NOT to translate into and from your own language. This takes too much time and will make you more hesitant.

If you forget a word, do what native English speakers do all the time, and say things that 'fill' the conversation. This is better than keeping completely silent. Try using um, or er, if you forget the word.

Don't speak too fast! It's important to use a natural rhythm when speaking English, but if you speak too fast it will be difficult for people to understand you.

Try to relax when you speak – you'll find your mouth does most of the pronunciation work for you. When you speak English at normal speed, you'll discover that many of the pronunciation skills, such as linking between words, will happen automatically.

-ask to sit next to a student who is not from your country
-try to make some friends who don’t have the same language

It's quite hard for Thai students i know because we mostly
are afraid of making a mistake when we speak, but that's not
a deal in speaking English. And nobody is really care about our
pronunciation but to communicate effectively is most important.
