Do you like to read novel?

I don't like reading much but I'll try.
Recently I try to read more short stories and novel, anything that in English.
I want to improve my writing skill. One way to do that is reading.
The only novel I've read so far, in English, is 1984.

I confess that I'm a person who don't like reading.
I don't feel so good when I see the thick book contains with the little letters in each page.
I prefer watching movie created from Novel.
Someone said reading can open more imagination but I still prefer watching!

Of course. If I am free, I will read novel. Actually, I do not read the thick book because I do not have much time to spend on book. I just read to relax. I am not addicted to reading novel, but I read novel. I do not know how I feel. It is fine to read but do not read too much.

I had ever read the novel when I studied in grade 9-12th.

Yes, I like to read novel of the story I am very interested in.
Even though some of novels contain more than 700 pages I still read it.
I remember the thickest book I have ever read since I remembered is Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix. While reading novel, I think I am travelling to the imaginary place where the reality cannot give me this kind of pleasure. It also makes me calm and peaceful to pay attention to every text standing in the book and let my brain use the imagination to make a picture of the story in my mind.
